In short
Should you use Qualiform or Jotform for qualifying website inquiries?
Jotform is the better fit for long, multi-page forms, forms that take payments or signatures, and free use across several forms. Qualiform is the better fit for a service business that wants each website inquiry talked through in a conversation, scored out of 100 by its own rules, and sent to a next step.

Jotform suits a business that needs long forms, multi-page forms, or forms that take payments or signatures. Qualiform suits a service business that wants each website inquiry talked through, scored the same way every time, and sent to a next step.
Qualiform makes this page, so read Jotform's own pages too before you decide. Every claim about Jotform was read on Jotform's own pages on the date shown under the table.
Who is each one for?
- Jotform is for a business that builds many kinds of forms. Think forms that take payments, documents people sign, and forms with several pages.
- Qualiform is for a business that takes inquiries through its website. It helps you see which ones are worth a call before anyone replies.
Both offer a way to qualify leads in a chat. Jotform has lead generation AI chat templates that collect and qualify lead details in a conversation. It also has a lead qualification workflow template that scores leads with business rules you set. Jotform's pages do not say how its chat templates decide that a lead is qualified. In Qualiform, the AI only collects the answers, and your own settings decide the score.
Where does Jotform win?
A conversation is not the right shape for every form. In these cases Jotform may be the better tool.
Long forms with many pages
Jotform's free plan allows up to 100 fields per form, and its paid plans allow as many as 1,000. Its forms can skip whole pages based on someone's answers, in both the Classic and Card layouts. That suits a long application, a detailed order, or a registration.
A Qualiform form has a limit on rounds of back and forth. The AI starts closing the conversation when it is nearly out. That fits an inquiry. It does not fit a form with dozens of questions.
Payments and signatures
Jotform's free plan includes 10 payment submissions and 10 signed documents a month. Its paid plans raise each to as many as 1,000 a month. If you need someone to pay or sign as part of the form, start with Jotform.
More room on the free plan
Jotform's free Starter plan allows 5 active forms and 100 submissions a month. Qualiform's Free plan allows one live form and 25 conversations a month. If you need several free forms, Jotform gives you more of them.
Building a form by describing it
Jotform AI can build a form from a description, from a file you upload, or from a URL you import. It can also set up conditions, such as showing or hiding fields, skipping pages, and routing emails. In Qualiform, New form asks whether to start from a template or from scratch.
Your forms already work there
If your Jotform forms already work and you get few inquiries, switching costs you time for little gain. Rebuilding a form takes work.
Where does Qualiform win?
Qualiform does one job: sorting the inquiries that arrive through a website.
A conversation instead of fields
The visitor types instead of filling in boxes. The AI answers anything they ask, then asks for one thing at a time. It works answers out of what the visitor already said, so it does not ask again for something they just told it. Each answer is saved with the visitor's exact words, and with whether they said it or the AI worked it out.
Some answers are useful but awkward to ask for, like who decides on the money. Set that question to Infer only, and the AI never asks it. It fills in the answer from clues, such as a visitor writing "I will have to run it past my partner." (That is an example, not a real visitor.)
Jotform's Card layout also shows one question at a time. Its help pages say some widgets are not available in Card forms, though the Form Calculation widget works there.
Scoring done by code, not the AI
The AI writes down the answers. It never scores them. Code scores each lead out of 100, from your own questions. You set how much each question counts with one of these words:
- Critical
- High
- Medium
- Low
- Minimal
- No score: still asked, not counted
The same answers always get the same score. A question nobody answered is left out of the score, so skipping it never lowers a score. Beside each score, an Answered percent shows how much of your scoring the answers covered, such as 60%.
In Jotform, you set up scoring yourself. Calculation values put a number on each choice in a dropdown, single choice, or multiple choice field. The Form Calculation widget or a condition then adds them up. Jotform's own example shows a custom thank-you message when a calculated score is greater than 59. Its pages do not say how an empty field counts in a calculation.
Five rules for what happens next
Every score lands on one of five rules you set on the Routing tab. A rule can offer a time to talk, say you will be in touch, or say kindly that it is not a fit. The AI words the closing message, but it never picks the rule. Each lead records which rule it landed on, with a line naming the numbers that decided it.
The fourth rule, which says you'll be in touch by default, is always on, so no lead falls through. A lead that answered too little goes to that rule instead of the offer its score would earn. The "Say they're not a fit" rule is off until you switch it on.
Booking a time inside the conversation
A rule can offer times from your own hours, or your scheduling link if you already use one. No time is offered until you save the form's Booking tab once, with your hours or a scheduling link. Until then, a rule set to offer a time says you'll be in touch instead. With your own hours, the visitor picks a time without leaving the conversation. They get a confirmation and a calendar invite by email, and they see times in their own time zone.
Connect a Google Calendar and busy times are not offered. Only the start and end times of busy slots are read. Visitors can cancel a meeting, but they cannot pick a new time.
Jotform books times too. Its Appointment element lets people pick a date and time slot, and it syncs both ways with Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, and Calendly.
A lead even when someone leaves early
The lead is saved after every round of back and forth. A visitor who leaves partway still leaves a lead in your list, with whatever they told the AI so far.
Jotform's Save and Continue Later lets a person save a partly filled form and finish it another time. Drafts not submitted within two months are deleted.

- Free keeps one live form and stops at 25 conversations. There is no overage. It still includes every scoring and booking feature.
- Paid plans allow unlimited forms.
- With a card on file, each conversation past the included number costs $0.30. That runs up to twice the included number, or a lower limit you set. Without a card, a paid plan stops at its included number.
- Every plan includes one person's calendar. On a paid plan, each extra person with a calendar costs $10 a month.
- "Powered by Qualiform" shows on Free and Starter. Growth and Scale can remove it.

Jotform counts submissions and Qualiform counts conversations. Compare what you would pay for the number of inquiries you actually get each month, not the cheapest plan on either page.
Who should pick which?
- You need a long form or a multi-page form. Pick Jotform.
- You need people to pay or sign inside the form. Pick Jotform.
- You need several forms and want to stay on a free plan. Pick Jotform.
- You run a studio, a trade, a venue, or a software business, and want to know which inquiries are worth a call. Pick Qualiform.
- You want a score you can explain, with the numbers that decided it written on each lead. Pick Qualiform.
- Your Jotform forms already work and you get few inquiries. Keep Jotform.
- You get a handful of inquiries a week and answer each one yourself. You may need neither. An email address or phone number on your site can be enough.
How do you test which one fits?
Write down three real inquiries from last month. Type each one into a Preview of a Qualiform form, then into a Jotform form you have built. Check which one tells you sooner who to call, and why. For another side-by-side, read Qualiform vs Typeform.
Common questions
Can I keep my Jotform forms and add Qualiform?
Yes. A Qualiform form goes on a page with two lines of code, or as its own direct link. It can sit on one page while your Jotform forms stay on others.
Can I use Qualiform without a website?
Yes. Each form can be shared as a direct link. You can put that link in an email, on a social profile, or behind a QR code on a van or a business card.
Can I try my form before visitors see it?
Yes. Preview opens your form the way a visitor meets it, with the AI answering for real. It is free, it does not count toward your conversations, and it sends no lead email. It shows the last version you saved, so press Save first. Each organization has a daily limit on previews, which resets at midnight UTC.
What if a visitor leaves halfway through?
The lead is saved after every round of back and forth. A visitor who gave their budget and then closed the tab still leaves a lead in your list. After 30 minutes of quiet the conversation counts as abandoned. If they come back and keep typing, it carries on.
What if a visitor does not want to answer a question?
If they say something like "I would rather not say," the AI records that as their answer and never asks it again. A question nobody answered is left out of the score, so skipping it never lowers a score.
Does the AI ever tell a visitor their score?
No. The AI never mentions a score, a priority, or a reason to a visitor, even when asked. It is told what to offer, never why.
What happens to messages that are not inquiries, like a sales pitch?
The AI closes the conversation politely and stops. This covers things like job applications, sales pitches from vendors, and requests for links. The lead is marked Closed early.
